ECW continues to show the world how they truely changed pro wrestling forever. The cage match between the Gangstas and the Eliminators was a great, bloody bout for the tag titles, that featured several dives from the top of the cage. The Raven & Stevie Richards vs the Pitbulls was a double dog collar match. Buellah somehow talked the Pitbulls into making this match a two out of three falls which may not have been in the best interest of Stevie Richards as he lost alot of blood by the end. The Shane Douglas vs Pitbull 2 was a classic match with a great angle. This one also ends up bloody with Pitbull 2's face turning completely red. The Cactus Jack vs Sandman bout was very entertaining. The Sandman comes to the ring, as usual, with his "Singapore Cane" and Cactus Jack enters with his right forearm wrapped with barbed wire. This is definetly not a disappointing match. But my favorite match on this DVD is most certainly the stretcher match between Rob Van Dam & Sabu. This match contains alot of high flying, alot of good reversals, as well as many boken tables. The DVD also has some other bonus material including an extreme moments montage. This montage features JT Smith diving over the top rope, but his legs get caught up on his way over causing him to hit the concrete floor face first very hard. You can see his head swelling before he can get back to his feet, which is pretty amazing because I didn't think he was getting back up. The montage also shows a New Jack balcony dive that was basic New Jack. But the most gruesome part of the montage featured a huge (450 pound) wrestler that I'm not familiar with. He jumps off the top rope landing on one leg, completely snapping his shin in two. You can accually hear and see his leg fold in half. All in all this is a very good DVD, especially if you're a hardcore wrestling fan.

I don't know why everybody says they are kids, June 27, 2001
Reviewer: A viewer from the sepultribe

the tape is hardcore. its great. it has its over the edge excitement, the comedy.... its awesome. from jumping off roofs to flaming tables, to some guy dressed up as a nun it rocks. i don't like the car though. its not wrestling or hardcore. its stupid. more excitement like pile drivers on cars, pile drivers on tables, flaming chairs, cheap barb wire matches and more. these wrestlers aren't really kids. people call them kids like they are 12 year olds. they aren't. the wrestlers are more like 17 to 21 years old. get it

FINALLY! A product That Lives up to ALL CLAIMS!!!, July 31, 2000

When I read the editorial revues of the THE BEST OF BACKYARD WRESTLING FUTURE KINGS OF THE RING and MORE HARDCORE THAN EVER BEFORE I couldn't beleive it. then i ordered the tapes! I must say, I am impressed. I consider myself a tough critic when it comes to wild and extreme tapes...but I've just never seen anything like this. The cool thing is that the tape does so much more than just display hardcore sloppy violence. it is produced inj a way that keeps you watching through the whole tape. HIGHLY ENTERTAINING! I can't recommend anything more than these two tapes...by far the coolest thing I've ever seen. I WANT MORE!!!

Very Solid PPV That Delivered, June 5, 2001
Reviewer: brahma_bull_fl from USA

Everybody says this ppv was not good. This was a very solid ppv that is very entertaining!! Here is a match-by-match run down:

1) SIX MAN TAG MATCH - Dudleys VS X-Factor

This match was a very good opening match. Justin Credible's performance was very good.

2) HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - Rhyno (c) VS Raven

This was perhaps the greatest hardcore match in years! This match was not one of those 30 men brawls. It was one-on-one great hardcore action!

3) DUCHESS OF QUEENSBERRY RULES MATCH - William Regal VS Y2J

This match was a screw-job to Y2J. It was entertaining but the outcome didn't please the audience.

4) 30 MINUTES ULTIMATE SUBMISSION MATCH - Benoit VS Angle

This match was a GREAT "wrestling" match. Some said it was boring, but you have to stay with it. Great finish!!

5) LAST MAN STANDING MATCH - Shane McMahon VS Big Show

Shane McMahon delivers his usual BUMP. This was right up there with his SummerSlam 2000 bump. Good finish!

6) TRIPLE THREAT FOR EUROPEAN TITLE - Matt Hardy (c) VS Christian VS Eddie Guerrero

Not a bad Triple Threat. This match was basically used to calm the crowd down before the main event.

7) THREE TITLES ON THE LINE - Austin & Triple H VS Undertaker & Kane

The match's finish was not what I expected, but the overall match was great! It ended in a usual McMahon screw-job. The finish was not clean. The match was not bad considering the main event was a tag match.

The overall event was pretty good. None of the matches were boring! It is well worth buying! It is not as bad as everyone says.

ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) -...

Editorial Reviews
Some of the wildest action of Extreme Championship Wrestling, an organization that prides itself on being the cutting edge of professional wrestling, is contained in this extravaganza in which men (and even a few women) beat the hell out of each other with chairs, tables, barbed wire, and, you bet, even some wrestling moves. Such ECW luminaries as Rob Van Dam, Mike Awesome, and Tommy Dreamer appear in matches that certainly look far more brutal than the usual wrestling fare found in shows put on by the WWF or WCW. Billed as uncensored, the competitors on this video generally wind up bloody, which isn't too surprising considering how many steel folding chairs go zinging through the air. When Mike Awesome power bombs an opponent through a folding table, the energized crowd packed into the dingy ECW arena gleefully breaks into a resounding chant. The centerpiece of this video is the classic barbed-wire match fought in 1996 between ECW stars Sandman and the Raven. The barbed wire enclosing the ring soon becomes the weapon of choice, and both men are reduced to bleeding messes before several tables get smashed and the loser is the man rendered most senseless. You have been warned, this material isn't for everyone. But those who love ECW will be in chair-shot heaven. --Robert J. McNamara

Wow, this is an EXCELLENT DVD!!, January 5, 2001
Reviewer: A viewer from Marysville, WA United States

First off, if you're an ECW fan or want to get introduced to ECW, buy this NOW!! Some of ECW's greatest matches are on here including two of the best wrestling matches ever which are RVD vs Jerry Lynn for the tv title and Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka for the heavyweight title. A few other great matches included on this DVD are the never before seen barbed wire match between Raven and the Sandman as well as one of the Dudley Boys's last matches in ECW which pitted them against Balls Mahoney and Spike Dudley (Spike gets powerbombed through 2 flaming tables, UNBELIEVABLE!!). Other classic matches include Sabu vs Taz, The Eliminators (Saturn and Kronus) vs Dr.Death and Terry Gordy, and the mixed tag team match between Tommy Dreamer and the beautiful Beulah vs Shane Douglas and Francine. Joey Styles is of course doing the commentary (the best commentator in wrestling, BAR NONE) which only adds more greatness to these matches. Buy this now or you'll regret it later!

Great ECW action!, August 2, 2000
Reviewer: halback from Fair Oaks, CA USA

Matches: Raven vs. Sandman in a barbed wire match--A great hardcore matchup as these two men risk their lives and careers for ECW's fans. The Eliminators (Perry Saturn and John Cronus)vs. Steve Williams and Terry Gordy--An odd choice for a match that doesn't really seem to fit in, although Saturn's death-defying flying elbow was a great spot. Jerry Lynn vs.Rob Van Dam in a 30 minute bout for the ECW television title from Hardcore Heaven '99--A great match, and the high point of both RVD's and Lynn's careers. Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka in a show-stealing match from November to Remember '99 for the ECW world heavyweight title--A fantastic match as the Awesome/Tanaka feud reached it's peak. Taz vs. Sabu-- A fantastic hardcore grudge match, and a match that in many ways put ECW on the map and solidified them as a Fed to be reckoned with in Proffesional Wrestling. (From Barely Legal '97, by the way). The Dudley Boys vs. Balls Mahoney and Spike Dudley in a world tag team title match--Another excellent hardcore match that sees the Dudleys powerbomb little Spike through two tables which are stacked on top of each other and set on fire, an incredible spot, and a great match. Finally, the match which best defines ECW: Tommy Dreamer and Beulah McGillicuty vs. Shane Douglas and Francine in a mixed tag match-up. First, a fan hits Douglas with a chair, nearly causing a riot, and later, Francine's top comes off while recieving a piledriver from Tommy--All that and a terrific match too! I can not recommend this DVD enough. It is a must-have for any ECW fan, and if you are not yet a fan, and want to know what ECW is all about, buy this DVD and become a fan. The Video version, however, does not contain Taz vs. Sabu or Spike and Balls vs. the Dudleys. And the censored version is well...censored, so if you have to buy the Video, buy the uncensored version, even if it does not have those two matches, it is well worth it!
