Touch sparring is a unique and important part of our beginner's programme invented by Lincoln Boney.
This simple yet effective section of our programme will help the student to improve at a much faster rate than
traditional training methods in a safe and fun environment.
It is designed to help the student gain the maxim from their training.
For example, it will help to improve balance, co-ordination, fitness and develop timing enhancing techniques.
Helping the student overtime to gain self-confidence and success at a much faster rate.
How to perform touch sparring:
The object of touch sparring is to make contact with the target area using the palm of your hand i.e. open hand
when using your hands and the instep of your feet if kicking.
- Target areas using your hands:
Side of the arm and body, legs inside and outside (no head shots are allowed).
- Target areas using your
kicks:
Inside and outside the legs and body using only the turning kick (no head shots are allowed).
Anyone can
participate regardless of age, fitness level and against any
opponent.
No equipment is necessary and it's Fun!
