QUICK SEARCH TIPS

The following tips will help you in optimising your search and are familiar to most search engines

Plus (+) and Minus (-) signs: 
to find web sites that you absolutely want to show up in your search results, say for example I am looking for karate schools in London put a plus sign (+) in front of the word London, by doing this you are indicating that the word London must appear in the search results for example: 

karate +london

will display search results for karate schools in London. You can also replace the plus sign with a minus sign (-) this would indicate that the word London should not be included in the search results for example:

karate -london

would display search results for karate schools that are not in the London area. 

AND, OR, AND NOT: 
These operators must appear in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS and with a space on each side. 

AND - To find web sites that contain the words kickboxing, kung fu, and karate, you will need to enter the following in the search box 

kickboxing AND kung fu AND karate

OR - indicates that web sites found must contain at least one of the words joined by OR. For example, to find karate or football sites you would enter the following 

karate OR football

AND NOT - indicates that sites found cannot contain the word that follows the term AND NOT. For example, to find sites that contain the word vipers but not the word kickboxing you would need to enter 

vipers AND NOT kickboxing
